Our Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP):
Our Partial Hospitalization Program provides individuals with the most intensive level of care for non-residential clients. This program is appropriate for individuals who: have completed residential or inpatient treatment for a substance use, behavioral health, and or mental health disorder, is believed to benefit from step-down support as they transition to a more independent lifestyle, and whose substance-related, mental, or behavioral needs do not rise to the level that requires round-the-clock inpatient and residential supervision
Our Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) addiction treatment is grounded in evidence-based practices such as life-skill enhancement, anger management counseling, 12-step programing, relationship skill improvement, and in some cases get-well job employment opportunities to improve a client’s function in daily life and ease the transition into a more self-governing lifestyle. For clients who wish to partake in long-term comprehensive care (often lasting between 6-12months) this would be the following treatment level after completing detox (either with us or another detox facility) and rehab (residential treatment care) or intensive inpatient addiction treatment.
Before a client is admitted into our Partial Hospitalization Program our clinicians will perform a thorough assessment to assure that partial hospitalization is the appropriate level of care. In order to participate in our Partial Hospitalization program, a client must have achieved a degree of stability that allows the individual to fully partake in all therapeutic interventions.
The PHP treatment includes (but are not limited to):
- Comprehensive evaluation and treatment planning
- Cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT)Dialectical behavior therapy (DBT)
- Acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT)
- Progress Reviews
- Aftercare and discharge planning (or transition to IOP planning)

During partial hospitalization, clients will still live in one of our gender-specific residential homes in Huntington Beach, Costa Mesa or Fountain Valley but will not receive round-the-clock supervision.
The client will, however, have access to staff 24 hours a day and will be required to participate in program activities (individual counseling, dynamic and educational group therapy, and clinical and nursing assessments) 6 hours a day, 5 days a week. Depending on the needs of each participant, his or her time in PHP may range between 3 weeks to 4 months.
Our Partial Hospitalization Program is a personalized experience that varies from person to person. The program is therefore tailored to meet the specific needs, strengths, and treatment goals of each client.
