Transitional Treatments

Transitional Treatments
When it comes to treating the spectrum of addiction, we offer a three transitional treatment phases recovery model that’s designed to guide addicts from dependence to life-long sobriety.
At the foundation of our treatment framework is our successful clinical care and support services, which leads patients through primary, intermediate and advanced phases, which in turn initiates independent sobriety and successful management of their conditions.

We additionally offer specialized services for dual diagnosis, extended care services, sober coaching, and companions and eating disorders. As patients gain momentum throughout the program, they gain independence and fulfill requirements for jobs, volunteer hours or higher education enrollment as they prepare to integrate back into society.

Phase I
Phase I: Live-In Intensive Treatment
Phase I is an opportunity for new residents to get acquainted with their peers and get into the rhythm of daily life at Stephouse Recovery Center. The overall goal of the program is to provide a safe therapeutic environment that encourages healing and change while addressing the mental health conditions that are commonly diagnosed with substance abuse and addiction.

For our live-in options, clients recover at beautiful upscale homes located in Costa Mesa and Huntington Beach, which have shown greater levels of success than those who have gone to institutions. We offer both private and semi-private rooms in a gender-specific setting. Our therapies include access to addiction and mental health professionals consisting of physicians, certified addiction counselors and licensed marriage family therapists.

Phase II: Mid-Transitional Treatment
The Phase II program offers clients the option of going to school or work while benefiting from the flexibility of morning or evening structured programs. Clients live in one of our gender-specific residential homes in Huntington Beach, Costa Mesa, and Fountain Valley.

This higher level of care is ideal for individuals who are unable to leave their work or school environment to recover and will allow them the chance to go about their daily lives. Our programs include group and individual therapies rooted in a 12-step approach to recovery. You will begin your journey toward a happy and meaningful life, free from the bondage of drugs and alcohol.

Phase III: Transition To Independence
Phase III combines extended care with the goal to transition to independent living. We offer optional after-care programs that include structure, supervision that will support the resident’s transition to independence and self-sufficiency. The client may independently choose to participate in 12-step meetings, and continue to work with his or her primary therapist at our Intensive Outpatient facility.

Out of all of our phases, this is the most vulnerable time in recovery since the individual is facing discharge from our program, going from a structured, safe environment of our facilities to the bustle of reality. Discipline, proper decision-making and problem-solving life skills are necessary to successfully handle the stressors that come with this exposure.

How StepHouse Helps
Our staff encourages each client to enroll in school, have a job, and/or participate in volunteer activities indicative of a productive member of society. In fact, we enforce a workfare community where clients need to get a job after 30 days in recovery and becomes mandatory after 60 days. That’s where this program phase comes in.

During this part of your journey, StepHouse Recovery Center offers gender-specific homes that are designed to transition clients smoothly into the outside world.
